Off the vent!

Hello!

I was all set to report that they were weaning him off the vent and that he is on 22% oxygen. But, when I got home Hallie had called and he is totally off the ventalator! He seems to be doing good! I believe he is still on some oxygen.

His health is good, but he doesn't look as good! He is under the biliribuin lights to improve his jaundice, etc. That's why his eyes are covered. The tape has started to irritate his little cheek, and he doesn't look that comfortable to me. He seemed more with it. He kept trying to pull the vent out. I can't wait to see him without it. That's why the little towel was covering his arm. His little mouth looks so cute and it was sad to seem him gag sometimes and make crying faces and no sound come out. Oh, he is so sweet. I can't wait to hold him! Maybe Hallie and Tony already have! They've been waiting! Hallie did get to change his diaper but that was through the isolate and very complicated with all the tubing and wiring.

Thank you for all your prayers. They are definately working!!! I praise God that both Hallie and Joseph are safe and sound. The medical team in Fergus told us that had Hallie not gone into preterm labor, things could have been much much worse for both of them. She could have had a total placenta abruption and her amniotic fluid was really low. God's timing is perfect.

Hallie and Tony thank you for your prayers and thoughtfulness. They have not made it to a computer, but I have been relaying messages to them.

Blessings,

Sarah

Way to go Joseph! It sure was fun to see you today.
Now that you have met your big sisters you are even more anxious to get home! They are going to give you so much lovin' - you are not going to know what to do with yourself!
Love you,
Alison
